Cell Line Development
Cell Engineering

MISSION

Our mission is to engineer next-generation mammalian cell factories for the production of complex biotherapeutics. By integrating synthetic biology, genome engineering, and autonomous experimentation, we aim to transform cell line development from empirical optimization into a predictive engineering discipline.

Cell Line Development Research
  • Overview

Engineering mammalian cell lines is a central challenge in modern biopharmaceutical production. Our research focuses on developing next-generation cell engineering strategies for programmable and predictable protein production. By integrating synthetic biology, genome engineering, and systems-level analysis, we redesign cellular pathways for protein expression, secretion, and stress responses.

  • Key Research Areas
    Programmable Mammalian Cell Engineering

We develop genome engineering and synthetic biology tools to design mammalian cells with controllable gene expression and improved production capabilities.

    Secretory Pathway Engineering

Our research focuses on identifying and engineering cellular pathways that control protein folding, glycosylation, secretion, and ER stress responses to enable efficient production of complex therapeutic proteins.

Functional Genomics for Cell Line Optimization

Using CRISPR-based screening and systems-level analysis, we systematically identify genetic targets that enhance productivity, robustness, and product quality in mammalian production hosts.

  • Vision

Our long-term vision is to establish predictive and programmable mammalian cell factories that can be rationally designed to produce complex biologics efficiently and reliably.
